The wind down
Thirty something more days left in the year 2025
My first question is, who/ what is chasing 2025? How quickly is it being chased, and should we be scared and get running too? Because we just said happy new year {2025} some weeks ago and today?? WOWZA.
Igbo people say “Afo wu n’onu”- Time(or the year) is in the mouth, once you speak it, it’s done. On this note… I welcome you to the long-awaited newsletter from your favorite podcast world over, 234 Essential!!! {shakes shekere}
Holla Tribers, how are we doing?? I know, I know, this didn’t come at the scheduled time, but hey! Here we are. I’m sorry we kept you waiting.
How has it been? with you? The days, the weeks, the months, the year so far? I believe we should all do a recap of our year, to stir up some gratitude in our spirit. January to November in a blink is quite wild though. But we are a people of gratitude so Gratitude is essential.
October/November has its own line-up, whether it’s Thanksgiving (for our readers/listeners in the diaspora), the Lagos trade fair, Duali, Halloween, Lagos Fashion Week, black Friday, cyber Monday etc, we have had quite the line-up because you, as Nigerians, with our nomadic nature and consuming varying cultures, we are constantly in a boiling pot of celebrations, there’s always something for us to celebrate. However we are choosing to celebrate, let us ensure to be safe out there. Everyone is moving with red eyes. Do not be the exception. No loose guard.
In the coming weeks of the rest of this year, we will be having some special episodes to celebrate 234 Essential at 5, and we will be sure to let you in on the cookie when it comes. Do well to follow us on all social media platforms, @234EssentialPodcast and this newsletter to get first dibs.
We had some really amazing, informative, and enlightening episodes in the year, catch up on them. The past few weeks in November had alot of activities for AOT2 and I and I’m sure for most of us, it’s been quite busy as well, everyone racing to get that one last thing in before the year ends!

Tribers, there has been a decline in sending in fan mail and release therapy and it almost now seems like those segments on the podcast almost no longer exist.
SOOoooo! Here’s the plan. As we try to keep being consistent, you also help and support us to keep being consistent by sending in FANMAIL and RELEASE THERAPY every week. Tell us what’s happening with you (doesn’t have to be anything serious), or feedback on a conversation on the pod. Better still, help a fellow triber by giving your thoughts on a fan mail or release therapy dilemma from any episode.. Don’t keep your thoughts to yourself and the friend group only.. SHARE
Let’s keep the pod engaging and immersive. We want to hear from you, x.
Send fan mail and to fanmail@234essential.com and be sure to listen to it on each episode.
We are also looking to have a December Live show… with your feedback or show of interest, we can plan.. Let us know. Send Fan mail in the coming week or a DM across our social media platforms… We can’t wait to hear from you and see you!
WE VISITED the Ecobank Pan-Atlantic center on Ozumba Mbadiwe to see the Afrobeat Rebellion Exhibition on FELA ANIKULAPO KUTIAnd the exhibition was informative, experiential and immersive.
